Share Your Voice - New Housing Construction at the Metro Yard

Dear Neighbors,

As you may be aware, the MTA (Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Agency) owns the large staging yard located at the north end of Windsor Village. It runs from Lorraine Boulevard to Crenshaw Boulevard along Wilshire Boulevard and covers about 79,000

square feet.

MTA released a request for proposals (RFP) on January 23, 2025 to qualified developers. More information on the project can be found here.

The most likely result of this process is that in 2026, MTA will vacate the staging yard, and construction will commence of a new housing development to be built by the group who submits the winning proposal. This will mean the likely addition of hundreds of new

housing units in our neighborhood.
